FPAA Important Issues

The Fresh Produce Association of America (FPAA) supports the strong enforcement tools used by U.S. Customs and Border protection to both safeguard our ports of entry and to investigate and enforce the fair treatment of people working across supply chains. The FPAA also supports collaboration between CBP and the Government of Mexico for these and other important issues under the strong framework of established trade agreements.

ESR Empresa Socialmente Responsible (Socially Responsible Company) is administered by Cemefi (Mexican Center for Philanthropy).
Fair Trade Federation The Fair Trade Federation is a direct, cooperative, and in-depth relationship between buyers and sellers that keeps all of the principles of fair trade at the forefront.
SQF Level 3 This certification by Safe Quality Food Institute encompasses best practices in Social Responsibility, plus Good Agricultural Practices and Supply Chain Security.
SA 8000 SA 8000 establishes labor standards around the world and incorporates international agreements, including those of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Convention on Child rights and Corporate Practices.
