The Fresh Produce Association of the Americas (FPAA) is proud to welcome its newest addition to the team. Erika Dominguez has been selected as the FPAA’s new Policy Analyst/Communications Coordinator. Erika has previous experience at the FPAA as a Membership Programs Coordinator, and her experience with the association coupled with her education, made her a standout candidate for the position.

Dominguez, a native of Nogales, Arizona and Nogales High School alumni, graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 2015. Since graduating, she has worked as a history teacher at her alma mater, NHS, as Membership Programs Coordinator for the FPAA, and has helped the FPAA with specific projects related to the Unisource utility rate case.

“It is an honor to be working with an organization that does so much for our community. I am thankful for the opportunity, and I look forward to contributing to the association and the new challenges that lie ahead,” says Erika Dominquez.

“We are excited to have Erika working with the FPAA,” says Lance Jungmeyer, FPAA President.  “She is an intelligent, hard worker that will bring a lot to this position. She has shown time and again that she is a fast learner that goes above and beyond to deliver on key projects. We are lucky to have her working on behalf of our members.”

Dominguez will be responsible for coordinating the FPAA’s communications activities, including coordinating outreach to reporters, overseeing the FPAA’s website and social media, and more. In addition, she will also focus on some specific policy issues that the FPAA monitors on behalf of the members.

“Erika is going to bring a lot to the FPAA and its members,” says Allison Moore, the FPAA’s Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Director.  “This will expand our ability to positively impact our members’ businesses.”
