10:00 – 11:00 am : Food Safety Cooperation: There are several avenues of cooperation and dialogue between the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and SENASICA in Mexico.

11:15 am – 12:15 pm : USMCA: What is the State of the Trade Agreement? – How are food and agriculture agencies in the United States and Mexico working together under the trade agreement that was revised in 2020. Several years later, the nations are using dispute resolution mechanisms and diplomacy to make progress.

12:15 – 1:00 pm: Network Lunch

1:00 – 2:00 pm : The Economic Impact of Imported Mexican Produce: Whether it’s in border communities or a restaurant or distribution center anywhere in the U.S., you can find jobs that exist because of imported Mexican fresh produce. Avocados contribute $11 billion in US economic impact, according to Texas A&M, and imported Mexican tomatoes contribute about $5 billion to the US economy, according to the University of Arizona.
