Maria Losoya, Health Educator/Navigator, from The University of Arizona Center for Rural Health will be at FPAA on June 5th @ 12pm to talk about Health Insurance Coverage when you experience a qualifying life event.

The AZ Center For Rural Health mission is to improve the health & wellness of rural populations. The program goals: 1.-Increase the participation rate of eligible uninsured Arizonans in its Federally Facilitated Marketplace Qualified Health Plans. 2.- Facilitate re-enrollment for eligible Arizonans in a qualified health plans.

AzCRH Objectives:

  • Prioritizes outreach to Latino, American Indian, rural, and special populations with historically low Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM)- participation rates in each county.
  • Provide education, and disseminate FFM enrollment information, education and materials through strategically placed AzCRH Navigators, providers , partners and stakeholders.

As you are aware, a SEP- Especial Enrollment Period, is available for individuals who do not have health insurance to sign up for coverage under the Affordable Care Act (Marketplace).  Navigators are also trained to assist individuals with Medicaid applications (AHCCCS and KidsCare). This process can be very confusing because of language difficulties. The University of Arizona Center for Rural Health navigators, are bi-lingual (English/Spanish), and can provide assistance with enrolling or re-enrolling in a health plan. This is a free service.

This is a great opportunity for seasonal employees to sign up for health insurance!!!
