The FPAA had a highly productive day at the Arizona State Capitol for our Arizona Advocacy Day! Joined by FPAA members JJ Badillo of Fresh International, Martha Rascon of SBTA, and Griselt Cerezo of Flavor King, along with FPAA staff, the day was filled with meaningful discussions on key issues impacting our industry.

The day kicked off with a presentation to the House International Trade Committee, where Lance Jungmeyer, Allison Moore, and JJ Badillo highlighted the critical role of the fresh produce industry in Arizona’s economy. The presentation set the tone for a series of impactful meetings with state legislators and agency officials.

Key Meetings Included:
– Representative Justin Wilmeth
– Representative Stacy Travers
– Representative Myron Tsosie
– Representative Laurin Hendrix
– Senator Rosanna Gabaldon
– Assistant Leader Flavio Bravo
Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT):
– Wayde Webb, Deputy Director
– Audra E. Merrick, P.E., IDO Division Director
– Mark Sanders, Director of International and Local Affairs

These discussions focused on key advocacy issues, including transportation infrastructure, cross-border trade, and regulatory policies essential to our members’ success.
