The LPOE Modernization Trust Fund Act was recently introduced, aiming to improve infrastructure and efficiency at land ports of entry. The FPAA has met with members in the past about these issues and continues to advocate for key improvements, including retrofitting ports with refrigerated inspection space, increasing staffing to facilitate trade, and deploying non-invasive inspection equipment at all ports to enhance security and streamline commercial shipments.
