America Trades Produce Conference Launches Official Website

Nogales, AZ and McAllen, TX.-As the saying goes, "I have a website, therefore I am." With this in mind, the America Trades Produce Conference announces the launch of its official website. Plans continue to move forward on agenda items geared to solving trade issues and perfecting the U.S./Mexico supply chain. "The global fruit and vegetable trade is expanding at a phenomenal rate. The U.S./Mexico produce industry is at the heart of that growth. This isn't public relations hyperbole--it's a $6 billion a year fact. But all complex economic relationships face challenges that have to be met to keep things running smoothly. This conference is all about the most serious people on both sides of the border pooling their skills and experience to ensure a prosperous future," said John McClung, President of the Texas Produce Association.
The America Trades Produce Conference focuses on the issues, trends, and opportunities in fresh fruit and vegetable trade between Mexico and the United States. Co-hosted by the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas (FPAA) and the Texas Produce Association, this year's conference is scheduled for March 30-April 1, 2011 in McAllen, TX.
The event is designed to increase the interaction between U.S. and Mexican government agencies, growers, shippers, and other key groups that work together to move fresh produce across the border.
"The America Trades Produce conference will be a great venue for bringing together industry members unified by the existence of our shared U.S./Mexico border," said Lance Jungmeyer, President of the FPAA. "In addition to government/industry interaction, we are also planning networking opportunities specifically geared to help strengthen the relationship between Mexican growers and the U.S. companies who may distribute their produce."
